Yesterday we drove to Harald and Gudrun, Grit’s parents, in Molmerswende a tiny town set in beautiful farmland. We visited Jana, Sven and their children Helena and Jakob. It was so great to see them.
We walked to Jana and Svens farm.
Jana and Gudrun cooked us delicious German cakes.
At night Gudrun cooked us a feast! Goulash, roasted rabbit (see pic below) Knödels, potatoes, cabbage, brussel sprouts.
Yesterday we did a beautiful hike through the Schwederlocher (Swedish Holes) and to the Bastei bridge. The rock formations were formed from sand millions of years ago and looked really cool.
Today we drove 4 hours to Dresden. Edna rented us an apartment in her building on the 11th floor. It is so nice! We walked to the city and there were so many beautiful buildings and sites to see.
We walked up to the top of the Frauenkirche, the church dome.
Today we visited Anita and her family. The weather is amazing. We walked to a playground and got fried dough and beer (Billy). The bike/walking trails are amazing. The kids are so cute and speak perfect English!
